Virtual International Assembly (more information coming soon)
Online registration is now open for district governors-elect and their partners.
District governors-elect and partners
Register by 5 November.
Partners must be in Rotary’s database before they register. Contact data@rotary.org to update your records.
Download the In-Person Participant Booklet for information on registration, program details, travel booking instructions, hotel, and expenses for the in-person event. For this year’s assembly, we will include an in-person event for those who are fully vaccinated and able and willing to travel to Orlando, Florida, USA, and a virtual event for all others.
We are asking all governors-elect to register and let us know if you plan to attend the in-person assembly or the virtual assembly. We understand that your perspective on attending an in-person event may change in the following weeks and will follow up to reconfirm your responses closer to the deadline.
Assembly registration will include a required question regarding your vaccination status. Vaccination is required to attend the International Assembly as an in-person event. Vaccination verification will be a separate process from registration, and will be due by 17 November 2021.
The RI Board has decided that observers may only participate in the virtual assembly event. If you wish to register for the virtual event, you must be a current or past district governor to attend as an observer.
Register online for the virtual event by 3 January 2022. Observers may not participate in the in-person Assembly event.
The following guidelines will be in effect during the in-person assembly, to increase the safety of all participants:
All assembly participants must be able to present proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before booking travel to the International Assembly. You are considered fully vaccinated two weeks (14 days) after you have received your second dose in a two-dose series (e.g. Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca) or after a single dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Any World Health Organization approved vaccines will be accepted. The full list can be found here.
COVID-19 vaccine certification will be done through a secure web portal.
All assembly participants must also provide a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before arrival at the Rosen Shingle Creek.
Masks are required for all participants for all indoor activities, including general sessions, breakout sessions, and networking sessions. Masks must be worn covering your nose and mouth.
These guidelines and requirements for in-person participation for the assembly are subject to change, based on updates from local, regional, and national public health authorities. Please check back regularly and check your email for any updates.
Rotary's annual training meeting gives incoming district governors the chance to share ideas with Rotary leaders from around the world on ways to strengthen clubs and improve communities.
Keynote speakers and informative presentations will inspire and prepare incoming district governors on how to lead their district successfully. Breakout sessions will introduce new ways of creating positive change.
View the Participant Booklet for more information on in-person programming.
Partners can play an important role during a district governor’s year. To prepare them for what lies ahead, we've planned a full program. They will join their governor-elect partner for general sessions, meals, social events, and the Cultural Exchange event, and will also participate in networking events and inspiring and informative presentations and discussions designed specifically for partners.
Rotary will secure hotel accommodations at the Rosen Shingle Creek for all funded attendees. Please do not book your own room.
Rotary International Travel Service (RITS®) will confirm your approved length of stay, which will be secured by the Rotary housing department. Contact information for Travel Service is included in the Rotary Support Section at the bottom of this web page.
You may book your travel once you have received the welcome invitation email with your Trip ID from RI Travel Services. This email will provide instructions on how to complete your travel arrangements.
All travel must be booked by Wednesday, 8 December 2021. All airline tickets must be issued by Wednesday, 22 December 2021. Once you have booked your travel, you will receive confirmation and an electronic ticket from your RITS® agent.
